I was on break from work for a couple hours so I decided to paint. It’s been a long time since I got to make something that wasn’t school- or work-related. I want this to be part of a large full-blown artwork, but I think it’ll be a long time before that gets done.
I also came across Kaye So Kua’s thesis :D I remember making an article for her e-magazine here.
I was taking a break from work and in a fit of vanity, I decided to Google myself :)) A lot of what came out was my font, Avionne, which I created for my Typography class last term.
I find it really cool that it’s gotten quite a few downloads from dafont.com where I originally posted it.
It’s made its way to other free font sites and also to a Belgian artist who’s really interested in typography.
I’m just happy that people find the things I do interesting at the very least. :D
After 3 1/2 years of being an art student, I’m finally graduating in February! :D
To pass the time, I’ve been redesigning my portfolio.
Well, I got pretty great marks for the first one, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with how it looked. Hence, new layout, and some new works that were featured in our [rather awesomely successful] culminating exhibit, Verge!
It should be up by tomorrow at the latest while I get some tweaking done. Then I shall fix my tumblelog.

A movie poster I made for my Typography class. I had fun doing the painting, it proved to be some sort of break from the other projects. A modified version of this poster is going up in our December exhibit.
The font is an original font pending approval at dafont.com.
